Bacteriology
- Microscopy, culture & sensitivity
- Water testing, Mycology, O.T. Swab culture
- Serology: Widal, VDRL, ASO, HBsAg, Pregnancy, RA, CRP and Dengue. HIV testing.
- Parasitology: Gastrointestinal parasitic protozeum detection by microscopy.
OTHER INFORMATION Department of Microbiology separated from Department of Pathology in 1995 after that the department is running independently.
Programmes going in the department:
- VCCTC (Voluntary confidential counseling and testing centre) for HIV / AIDS. Counseling and testing for high risk.
- PPTCT (Prevention of parent to child transmission in HIV / AIDS): HIV testing and counseling of ANC.
- RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme).
- ART Centre: Microbiology input Antiretroviral therapy for HIV / AIDS and provides diagnostic input.
- Hospital Infection Control Programme: Biomedical waste management, continuous workshop for all HCW, Infection Control practices.
